Overview
Agent Washington is a version of the NadekoBot open source Discord server bot hosted by M88youngling. It is significant for its ability to collect chat logs from the LittleBigPlanet Union's discord server used in 2016, as well as the current Union discord server.
Origin
Conception
For the purposes of the archival initiative, M88youngling sought for a way to collect chat logs as a primary source for the Union's 2016 discord server. These would be more accurate about interpersonal activities than journals or other accounts of the events. Eventually, the idea of a bot that could accomplish this was conceived, inspired by another bot known as Honya, which was a Nadeko-based self hosted bot by a non-LBP organization called GrunSolutions.[1]
Implementation
A nadeko-based bot was decided upon by M88youngling, and the name was determined to be Agent Washington. This name paid homage to a robot designed by TragicTakedown for inclusion in the Agents headquarters during around 2010-2011. Agent Washington's avatar was created by Huntsman007. The avatar sought to also pay homage to the original robot's top hat.[1]
Agent Washington was incorporated into the old Union server used during 2016, the new Union server established in the fall of 2017, as well as two other non-LBP affiliated servers belonging to the YSFlight simulator organizations of the Special Armed Response Force and Neo United Nations.[1]

Details
Chat Logs
Agent Washington was mainly implemented in order to collect chat logs from discord servers for record-keeping. These are currently collected by M88youngling and stored privately for future dissemination and proper archival. Each chat log is in .txt file format, with the dates, authors and content of each message preserved. Images are only saved as links, which may or may not be functional. [1]
Entertainment and Utility
Agent Washington provides various entertainment features for the servers it is implemented on, such as games, gambling, searches. It also can provide other utilities such as welcome messages and server logs, allowing the storage of all deleted messages.[1]
