Beacon (formerly named Lighthouse) is a server instance running on a LittleBigPlanet custom server, Project Lighthouse. The server instance is maintained and operated by 3 teams of the LBP Union: Research and Development, Union Space Corps, and Starguards. It was launched as a public beta on March 6th, 2023. It supports LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet 3 (PS3), and LittleBigPlanet Vita.

Community

Clanning

Clanning at Beacon is quite small but is slowly growing, The largest clan currently known is Taiyang.

Hard levels

Hard and difficult levels started appearing around 2022 and a community was formed for it.

Memes

Beacon is known to have plenty of meme levels which was at the peak during the private beta phase, It is often memed with Nerdyant64's character.

Reuploading

There are many people who reuploads levels from LittleBigArchive and even directly from the original servers still running at LittleBigPlanet 3 on the PS4. However the consequence for it would be that it would be more filled with reuploaded levels than actual original levels.

Moderation

Beacon is moderated by the LBP Union's Starguard team which most members of the team have moderator permissions. Some Starguards have admin permission because of their role at the USC.

Public beta release (Operation Daredevil)

Beacon opened to the public under public beta on March 6th, 2023.
