The Kardían Era was a time period lasting roughly from the release of LittleBigPlanet in 2008 to the summer of 2011. It is iconic for the Heart for Heart conflict, the first clans and their affairs, and the foundation of the LittleBigPlanet Union.

History

Early History

Knowledge is limited about this time period, as little was documented. There were quite a few clans toward the beginning of the era. One of the first was Skull Blade, which is where Polarlab and Kool_Guy66 began their careers along with many other individuals. It is unknown when many other clans were founded precisely.

Anti-Heart for Heart

Many clans were founded on the premise of fighting against the Heart for Heart movement, which they saw as being unfair and undermining the premise of the game. While some Heart for Heart organizations appeared, they were never very organized. Some Anti-H4H organizations transformed into different clans and/or alliances with broader visions, such as the LittleBigPlanet Union alliance.

General Activity and the Union

Most clans, like the Red Skull Republic, Ghost Hound (later Vector Troop), and Akatsuki, kept to their own sphere of influence and had their own affairs and conflicts with one another. However, the LittleBigPlanet Union tended to be isolated from these affairs and only interacted with those in their own sphere of influence.

The Union Schism

In 2011, after the release of LittleBigPlanet 2, the LBP Union was becoming more unstable from internal strife and outside forces were beginning to transform into much stronger, more united bodies like the Armageddon Empire. The Union soon suffered a schism after the resignation of President Godman2k7, leading to the establishment of the Loyalist Union and the New Union.

The Axis Control

The Armageddon Empire, with its newfound strength, created the Axis Alliance (then known as the Axis Control or Axis of Alliances) to carry out their campaign called "World War 1" to exterminate anyone who they saw as "noob clans." By this point, the Kardían Era comes to an end and the events of the Shadow Epoch begin to unfold.

Legacy

The Kardian Era was the beginning of all clanning on LittleBigPlanet, making it important to study the origin of clans. Clans during this time were very large, making tactics and strategies used by them deemed important for study by the reformed LittleBigPlanet Union from 2014-2016.
