The Toxic Regime (unofficially known as 'The Autarchy of Toxica and the Universal Union') is a multi-gaming/multi-platform, militaristic role-play clan. The Toxic Regime spans multiple games and platforms and includes a division on Little Big Planet 3 and Dreams. Though the Toxic Regime has been disbanded and restored multiple times throughout its history, the first and current incarnation of the Toxic Regime was founded and is led by TOXIC-RAGE-2002. As of January 2020, the Toxic Regime has been restored for the third time in its history
History
The Toxic Regime was established on the 17th of February, 2018 by TOXIC-RAGE-2002 as a milsim-clan on the game Battlefield 1. The Toxic Regime, before its establishment as a role-play clan, was a regular gaming community known as "Toxic Division." After Toxic Division attracted the attention of several individuals, a government was established and TOXIC-RAGE-2002 was proclaimed "Autarch" of The Toxic Regime.[2]

Throughout the year of 2018, civil strife and war preoccupied the Toxic Regime's political and militaristic ambitions. However, the Toxic Regime allegedly defeated several clans and found that several individuals were responsible for the civil strife and war which occurred throughout the early and middle parts of 2018.[2]
In the last months of 2018, the Toxic Regime would establish a division on LittleBigPlanet 3 as a result of TOXIC-RAGE-2002 joining the LittleBigPlanet/Dreams Union Discord server. Since January 2019, the Toxic Regime has been working with factions such as the Axis and the Angels of Light, supposedly helping to broker a peace deal between both factions.[2]
Tragically, the Toxic Regime, on April 23, 2019, was dissolved for a brief period of time. All operations on all games came to an end except on a game called "For Honor" where the Toxic Regime was renamed to "The Toxic Revenant" which used the same flag and symbols. On May 15th of 2019 however, the Toxic Regime was reestablished and TOXIC-RAGE-2002 restored himself as leader of the Toxic Regime. [2]
This sort of behaviour would be repeated again sometime in the fall/winter of 2019, when the Toxic Regime was disbanded and was reopened once again on December 1st, 2019 and a "Pax Toxica" was declared. Only in January did the Toxic Regime begin to see more activity, and was officially declared re-active in early January of 2020 and is officially remembered as "Refoundation Day." [1]

Though not as active on LittleBigPlanet anymore, the recent official release of Dreams has seen the Toxic Regime become more active within the Dreams community and is currently focused on creating art and propaganda. [2]
Population
According to the official member list, the Toxic Regime officially has 21 members. It is also important to note that the regime a diverse member base, with members from Ireland, America, Egypt, Britain and Australia. [2]
Language
The Toxic Regime has two official languages; English (the spoken and written standard) and Toxin Standard (an artistic standard for documents and political edicts.) [2]
The Grade System
The Grade System of the Toxic Regime works similarly to how the feudal class system works; that being all members of the Toxic Regime are separated into certain socio-economic classes based on their technical and intellectual skill set. Each grade has its own occupation and or career which a member will take the position of upon joining that certain grade.[2]
As of December 2019, the Grade System is being reworked, hence all information related to the Grade System has been removed from the current form of the constitution of the Toxic Regime. [2]
It is also worthy to note that none of these classes are static, and members may apply to move up to a different grade. Members also have the choice to move down a grade as well (either through punishment and or free choice). [2]
Policy of Assimilation
The Toxic Regime, like the fictional Combine Empire from the Half-Life Series, enforces a policy of cultural and technological assimilation among its members and games it's on. This means that all peoples that join the Toxic Regime are integrated within the state apparatus and serve to promote, create, and manipulate Toxin content for the external community in order to promote the cultural and player base identity of the Toxic Regime. Technology also has the same sort of policy, in where technology on games such as LBP and Minecraft is acquired and reversed in order to serve the purposes of the state for the purposes of warfare and suppression of political and cultural dissidence. [1] In other words, the Toxic Regime's government assumes control over members' creations for create war against its enemies and to reinforce a political belief in pseudo-power. The regime plans to continue this policy in Dreams, but with more aggressive enforcement of the policy. [2]
Government
The Toxic Regime has a structured and authoritarian government, referring to itself as a strict and vastly bureaucratic regime. The government of the Toxic Regime is modelled after entities such as ancient Rome and the fictional Combine and Helghast empires. The official form of government of the Toxic Regime is described as a 'Militaristic Constitutional Technocratic Autarchy.' The head of state is the Autarch, which both embodies and directs the entirety of the regime. The head of the government within the regime is referred to as the Proconsul. The Proconsul is the leader and administrator of the whole government and Directorate (the cabinet of the regime's government). It is also important to mention that the Toxic Regime has no official legislative system. This means that Autarch, along with the Proconsul and Directorate vote and discuss policy and law within the regime's government.[2]
Another very important aspect of the regime's politics also includes the Tribune of the Collective, an individual responsible for representing a Political Bloc (a segment of the population represented politically) and forcefully subjecting the Directorate to enquire about the collective as a whole when certain policy is demanded to be changed (though this is the case, the Autarch and Directorate may at anytime refuse the demands of the collective if demands are seen as destabilizing and or unneeded.) The Tribune of the Collective is the only electable position within the Toxic Regime's government.[2]
In this manner and given its alleged population, the Toxic Regime's government resembles a totalitarian democracy. Although referring to itself as a militaristic constitutional technocratic monarchy,[1] another more fitting title might be a form of autocracy, especially since the name of the leader is the Autarch.[2]
Ban on Radical Ideologies
As of May 25th, 2019, the Toxic Regime strictly prohibited the practice and rhetoric of communism and national socialism among its members and community. This was due to the effort to preserve the slightly democratic nature of the regime and prevent radical values from taking over the regime.[2] This policy also played into the foreign policy of the regime, as the regime is dedicated to a campaign of opposition against communities that identify as being communist or fascist. This was supposedly also in an effort to combat radicalism and promote a healthy environment of political discourse in the gaming community.[2] However, despite this vindictive policy, the Toxic Regime claimed that it will show restraint when dealing with groups that associate themselves with the LittleBigPlanet/Dreams Union discord server should they identify as communist or national socialist.[2] The LBP Union Discord opposes the presence of fascist ideals in its discourse.[3]
Political Privileges Reinstated and the Bloc System
When the Toxic Regime reopened, it was agreed upon that the policy of banning radical ideologies was reductive, and hence was objectively destabilizing. Instead of banning ideologies, the 'Bloc System' was created in order to balance the political environment of the regime. The Bloc System is a divisional system wherein all members are divided into blocs. These blocs represent the political makeup of the regime. Once every month, an election occurs where the Tribune of the Collective is elected from a certain bloc, hence dictating who the political majority are. [2]
In this sense, the politics of the Toxic Regime relies on a 'controlled natural selection' system, where depending on the majority, lesser political ideologies are cast out from operating in the regime until the next election. [2]
Religion
The Toxic Regime is a completely secular community. Though this is the case, the official state religion (an invention of MR-TOXIC-RAGE and inspired by H.P Lovecraft) is referred to as Cosmicism. Cosmicism is a set of beliefs that puts forward that the cosmos (all reality, dimensions and universes) were wielded into creation by extraordinary beings known as 'the Celestials' and 'the Eldritch'. The Celestials were created by the supreme creator of the cosmos, known as Xion, while the Eldritch was created by an ancient evil known as Irker. [2]
Cosmicism is a polytheistic philosophical religion, wherein members of the religion are allowed to worship both the Celestials and Eldritch if they please. The pantheons represent good, incorruptible, and objective reality (The Celestials) while the bad is represented through evil, corruption and chaos (The Eldritch). Both pantheons are unique as they both have unique gods that represent one physical and one abstract aspect of the cosmos and are mirrors to each other (for example Xion is a creator while Irker is a destroyer.) [2]
The Toxic Regime has created a fictional cult-like papacy around this religion known as 'the Collasense", which its prime objective is to keep order and security throughout the Toxic Regime and spread the religion itself. It is also tasked with the creation of religious buildings on games such as Minecraft and Dreams. The Collasnse itself is led by a figurehead meant to represent the religion as a whole and is currently led by I-MISS-TOXIC-I.[2]
Foreign Relations
The Toxic Regime has a policy of indifference. This means the Toxic Regime works with alliances and clans which are open to diplomatic and military assistance whenever it seems fit to benefit both the Toxic Regime and the alliance. This policy has allowed the Toxic Regime to experience very aggressive jingoism and seeks to puppet and integrate other clans into its sphere of influence.[2] The Toxic Regime is still heavily aggressive toward clans that share a communist and or national socialist doctrine of any sort as it is in direct opposition to the regime's ideals as a whole. Though this is the case, the Toxic Regime has worked with communities of this style (e.g The Axis and The Creators Socialist Republic). [2]
The Toxic Regime, along with its alliance (The Cosmic Collansese), which is made up of clans from a vast range of games, seek to establish a community of complete order and try to redefine geopolitical roleplay and clanning itself, with the intention to remove all systems and communities which use backward and chaotic practices in order to perpetuate their existence.
Despite there being no formal Union government, the Toxic Regime considers itself a member state of the LittleBigPlanet Union despite there being no formal Union government, making this status illegitimate. However, despite the Union's previous firm stance against the Axis, the Toxic Regime has acted freely to engage in communications with them but no longer does due to the Axis falling apart as of mid-2019.[2]
Military
The military of the Toxic Regime, also referred to as the Strategic and Armed Apparatus of the Toxic Regime, is a complex, extremely regimented force, meant to both protect the Toxic Regime and partake in aggressive flame/clan wars. The military of the Toxic Regime is divided into four sections:
- The Toxic Army
- The Toxic Navy
- The Cosmic Navy (Used only in games which allow for the use of Starships)
- The Toxic Air Force
Each division of the army has its own complete ranking system, which can be seen here. It is also very important to note that all members are required to partake in military activities when required.[2]
Culture and Style
The Toxic Regime upholds a style of society that upholds obedience and strictness. Though this is the case, personal freedom and expression are still not prohibited. The political/cultural makeup of the Toxic Regime is very traditional and conservative in nature and upholds a society that is strict in protecting and aggressively spreading nostalgic and symbolic aspects and values of the clan. Military service and culture is also a very big aspect of the Toxic Regime, ever since the Toxic Regime prides itself with having an army of intellectuals and battle-hardened veterans from games such as Battlefield V and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It is also important to note that a lot of the art, technology and culture of the Toxic Regime is influenced by fictional nations such as The Helghast Empire and the Combine Empire.[2]
Marches and Songs of The Toxic Regime
