While I haven't really sat down to really dig into Akatsuki's history just yet, I think it's clear that Chriswolf did some really bad things. It is most likely true that he committed acts of sexual harassment based on the overwhelming number of testimonies I've seen and heard, especially the one provided by Blackdarness (which I will publish a transcript of soon.)

I see people posting this article from the justice department a lot. I have a few thoughts on it that I'll share. For one, the article is certainly legitimate. That's obvious. However, whether it can be correlated to Chriswolf, I'm not certain. Since the person being indicted is named Christopher, and the time period being congruent to the time of the acts being committed (2012), it certainly suggests a correlation. This also aligns with the fact that as far as we know, Chriswolf doesn't play on LBP or PSN anymore. I'm not aware of whether or not this is his real name. I'm sure someone out there knows, but that leads me to my next point:

Do we really need to conclusively prove that they were the same person? It seems as if the primary purpose of people posting this justice department article is to ridicule Chriswolf. I don't intend to give any sympathy for him when I point this out. According to the testimonies I've heard and seen, he definitely was a creepy bastard. If it's true that he was arrested and convicted, what's the point of spamming it around? Is it meant to trigger the very few people who still support this guy? Is it meant to annoy people like me trying to keep a clean wiki? (checked that one off lmao) Is it just for the lols?

In the end, I think that the continued mockery of Chriswolf is intended to be a combination of all these things, and also in some way a warning against similar acts. I get it, but honestly it just seems to be in really bad taste. People do bad things. That doesn't mean that we have to play eye for an eye. Chriswolf got what he deserved if this article can be connected to him. He went to prison. There's no need for more ridicule about it.

If we're going to talk about it, let's do it constructively. Let's discuss and learn the history of Akatsuki in a way that helps us prevent monsters like Chriswolf from happening again.
