User blog:M88youngling/General Update - Agenda

From LBP Union Archives

Oh my god lol I have no time to edit the wiki

I have a lot that I want to do, but I just don't have much time to do it. School's been a bit busy for me and I'm getting to the point where I have to figure out what the heck I'm going to do as a career. Sadly, archiving and researching about LBP clans probably isn't going to pay me very well, unless I can somehow reap the benefits of youtube monetization or something. Anyway, here is my agenda going forward,

  1. BattleClanArea5. I don't have enough time to fully cover this community, but I can at least get all the pages for each of the 'BattleClan Kingdoms' set up so that people can edit them themselves. This is a very complicated topic and I don't think I'll be able to cover it all alone.
  2. Polarlab has been working on an updated clan timeline. It has some issues, and by some I mean a LOT in terms of citations (Which there are none.) Best thing that I can do with this when it's finished is to cross reference it with existing resources and hope for the best. There have already been some issues that I've noticed with the current document. Needless to say, you can expect to see a rough outline of some of the happenings from 2011-2014.
  3. 2014 and 2015 LBP Union stuff. I want to cover more about the history of the Union Protectors, early 2014 stuff like the conflict with the Remnants Union, as well as maybe more stuff about the Visarian Mandate conflict in 2015.

I've heard a lot of interest in 'modern' clans 2017 to the present. I would like to cover them, but honestly trying to cover ALL OF THIS is just too much work. I only have a limited amount of time and I just can't cover it all by myself. My best advice is that if a clan in recent times interests you, please write stuff down. Keep a journal. If you are a clan leader, start keeping a log of your members and keeping a journal. Write down as much as you can. That eliminates the need to go and search for primary sources and data. From there, we can focus on analyzing that data instead of playing internet archaeologist.

To those of you who have helped in some way or another with the archival initiative, thank you for your help. Although this stuff may be a bit...odd, and you may not want to admit that you're into this kind of stuff in public, I still think that these clans and histories mean a lot to certain people and your efforts certainly do mean something to someone out there. Plus, it's fun!

And remember, I will be there, and I will stare...
